The Wonderful World Of Nighttimes And Gardens.

The Wonderful World Of Nighttimes And Gardens.

This term we are learning about the different nocturnal animals we can find in our local area as well as all over the World. We will be looking at what they eat, how they hunt and where they live. We will also be focusing on mini beasts discussing what exactly defines an animal to be a mini beast and which ones we can find in our own back gardens. As part of our research we will be heading out on a mini beast hunt, not just to see what we can find but also to collect lots of natural materials to create our own habitat collages. Whilst we are on this hunt and throughout our whole topic there will be a lot of ideas as to how we can protect and look after our environment as well as the animals that live there.

As part of our science activities we will learn all about food chains and the life cycles of different animals and why animals live in the habitats they do. We will also be taking our knowledge of mini beasts and nocturnal animals into our dance and music lessons. The aim being at the end of the term not only will we be able to tell an animal story through the use of music and dance but we will also perform the 'Ugly Bug Ball.'

Yet another jam packed term filled with exciting activities!
