Spring 2 - RAF 100

Welcome back Griffin Classes.

 

This term the whole school is learning about the RAF as a way to celebrate 100 years of the RAF. Year 1 have been using their place value and counting skills to record how many days we have been at school and so will also be celebrating 100 days at school with a party, which will involve lots of '100' activities !!

 

Science this term is all about materials, distinguishing between an object and the material it is made from, identifying different materials and describing their physical properties.

 

We will be researching different helicopters in computing and using the information we find to help design our own helicopter in Design and Technology.

 

In History, Griffin classes will learn about significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national achievements, in particular Amy Johnson who was an English aviator who was the first female pilot to fly alone from Britain to Australia.
