Term 2 - Water

The second Autumn term, leading up to the Christmas break, our topic will be “Water”. Children will be learning about the essential role of water and experimenting with water in the classroom and outside. Our visit to Hill End, a fantastic outdoor learning provider only 3 miles outside of Oxford, helps to make this a really exciting term. Outdoor learning has been proven to have a hugely beneficial impact on children’s personal, social and educational development, particularly in the Early Years age range. It will also complement our topic of “Water”.Children who visit Hill End fondly remember their time there for years and years after. It is a wonderful opportunity for your children to feel confident, happy and engaged with the natural world. Towards the end of the term we will be participating in the Key Stage 1 Nativity Play and making Christmas decorations for the Christmas Fair.
