Pastoral Support is a real strength here at RAF Benson Primary School and Mrs Pring and Mrs Morgan are both on hand to support your child, and you as a family, with the pastoral element of moving school, location and friends.
 

Our Pastoral Support team are there to help mitigate the negative impact of mobility and deployment on educational and emotional development.

We understand that moving your child to a new school can be a difficult time and we do all that we can to ensure that this transition either to us or to another school is seamless.

Postings from RAF Benson
If you have received notice of a posting, please could you let us know as soon as possible. Please complete a leavers form (available from the school office) and return to the school office. This will enable us to do the following:

• support your child in preparing to move to another school
• collate the necessary records and documentation to post to the new school
• liaise with the new school especially if your school is on the SEN register
• where possible, set up a Skype link with the new school so that your child can ask questions about their new school and they can see teachers and buddies in their new school helping them to know what to expect on arrival.

Deployment

We know that the effects of deployment on children can often be a barrier to learning and to help ease this Mrs Pring runs our very popular Social Circle group specifically for children who have a parent away. Outside of this group she and Mrs Morgan are on hand to speak to children and parents regarding emotional issues related to deployment.
