Making STIXX lanterns
Puma Class have been very lucky to have Paula Cil spend time showing us how to use the STIXX machines with thanks to funding from the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. You take six sheets of flexible newspaper, roll them up by hand, put a lick of wallpaper paste on, pop the roll in the STIXX machine, this then tightens them up into a solid rod of paper 60cm long. This STIXX rod is strong enough immediately to build large structures. We built lanterns. Take a look at how we did it.......
