We were very pleased after a term of hard work and iPad sharing to hold our very first.... AnimAFTA ceremony.
AnimAFTA stands for:
Animation
Award
For
Tremendous
Attempts
Each class made a number of animations and these were either judged in class and the best one put forward or put together to make a longer animation. The AnimAFTA ceremony was very similar to the BAFTAs where the judges watches all the clips and put forward nominees for award categories.
The categories were:
Most Creative
Most Entertaining
Most Technical
Best Sound Effects
Best Visual Effects
Best 'No Shakes'
Best Director
Best Scenery
Best Overal Animation
A lot of the clips linked in with the topic each class were focusing on this term and the children (and staff!) had a great time putting them together.
