Grouping animals and starting our topic.
During this term we will be looking at animals. We will be looking at all the different types of animals, how they are grouped, what classification is and why they are classified.
We started off the topic with a refresher on the main animal groups. We looked at 5 pictures of animals and then used descriptions to sort them into groups.
Have a look through the worksheet and see if you can arrange them at home!
Animal Sorting! Can you match the Latin name to the right animal?
These are the pieces of work we came up with in our groups. We had to work in groups in order to match the right group name, description, picture and latin name. The first two groups who finished got 5 housepoints! We all worked extremely hard in order to gain those HP'S.
