Welcome to term 1.
This term we will be learning about castles across the curriculum.
In English we will be writing stories set in familiar places as well as creating fact files about castles.
In Science Mr Wilkinson and the children will be investigating and testing the materials needed to make the different parts of a castle.
The children will also find out why castles were built in the places we find them, and what they were used for.
In design and technology the children will explore mechanisms that could be used in a castle and design and build their own.
There is no set termly homework this term, but if you visit a castle ( or have in the past) we would love to see photos and hear all about it.
