Carols Around the Tree
To end our Christmas day after our amazing Christmas lunch, we turned the lights down low, gathered around our christmas tree to sing a few songs together. We were very happy to welcome some parents and friends who joined us too.
We started the event with the hall completely dark and just the Christmas tree lights to allow a parade of the Christmas lanterns to process around the hall getting us all in the festive mood. These were made with Mrs Boodell and Mrs Taylor as part of our Art Club project this term.
Each class sung a festive favourite with children in Years 4 and 6 singing songs in French and German respectively adding an international dimension to our carol event. Well done to our 'Quartet' of children who bravely sang very well as a group in front of everyone.
As always, our final song was the 12 Days of Christmas with everyone taking a part, which ended our Carols Around the tree for this year perfectly.
