To our Year 6 class page! 

This year the Chinook Class Teacher is Miss Bradley and we are extremely lucky to have Mrs Walshe on a morning to help us!

Important bits of information: 

Homework: This will be handed out on a Monday and is expected to be handed in on a Thursday morning. If for any reason you are struggling with the homework please make sure you come and see either Miss Bradley or Mrs Walshe BEFORE Thursday so we can you help you with it. 

PE Kits: Children will be having PE on a Thursday afternoon, please make however, that you bring your PE kit in on a Monday and then take this home again on a Thursday. 

Swimming: Year 6 will be going Swimming every Wednesday morning. Please make sure that you have your swimming kits with you for this and remember your swimming hats! If for any reason the children NEED to wear goggles for medical reasons please can parents ensure a note comes in for our safe keeping, thank you. 

SATS: SATS are happening in May of this year! While these are very important, we do not want the children to be worried or stressed about them. We will be talking about them a lot to get them comfortable with the language and asking for help if they don't understand anything. This year will be focused on helping and supporting the children as much as we possibly can so they can be completely successful in their end of year assessments. 

A SATS club will be running on a Thursday for the children to come to (if they wish) in order to have some additional support on topics they might be struggling with.
