We are going to be learning about Under the Ground this term! This is an interesting topic and will cover lots of different areas of our curriculum. We will learn about mini-beasts, growing seeds, the parts of a plant and will be growing butterflies in the classroom. At the end of the term, we will have a trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park (a letter wil be sent out with further information nearer the time). In Literacy, we will continue with our Phonics work, focussing on learning our tricky words and blending phonemes to read. We will be keeping butterfly and seed diaries and will practise sounding out words to spell them using the letters and sounds we have learnt. In Maths, we will continue practising couting on and back to add and subtract numbers. We will practise using money and telling the time, as well as estimating length, weight and capacity. We will also spend some time learning about healthy eating and how to choose healthy foods.
