Circle Of Life
Our first Topic for the Summer Term is called 'Circle of Life.' Below are our Topic targets that we will be working towards.
Science:
In Science, we are going to be describing the differences in the life cycles of a mammal, an amphibian, an insect and a bird. Describe the life process of reproduction in some plants and animals and talk about the changes as humans develop from birth to old age.
History and Geography: We are going to be carrying out a structured study of our local area this term. We will be developing geographical skills by exploring our local environment in a variety of ways and by researching and identifying key features and attractions in our area.
Art and DT: This term we will be looking at sketching and printing of plants. We will be using shading and cross hatching in order to improve our craft. We are also going to be drawing self-portraits in the style of Julian Opie.
Philosophy: We will be discussing relationships this side of the term. We will be looking at resolving friendship issues before they occur as well as making people feel part of a group. We will be talking about how to show respect along with what a positive relationship looks like. |
