In english, we will start by identifying what make narratives effective. This will support us in writing narratives from different viewpoints, based on our class book. Afterwards, we will learn about the features of playscripts and create our own, which will also be based on our class book.
In geography, we will be locating the countries, major cities and environmental regions of North America. We will then develop our knowledge of the eight points of compass. Afterwards, we’ll be studying the Western United States of America in depth. Our focus will be on its climate zones, biomes and vegetation belts, as well as the distribution of natural resources. This will allow us to identify the impacts of physical geography on aspects of human geography.
In design and technology, we will focus on cooking and nutrition. This will include learning about a balanced diet, cooking savoury dishes, understanding seasonality and the production of a range of ingredients.
