Summer 1: Awesome Animals
Awesome Animals
Ever wondered what it is like to go on an African Safari? Or what animals live in the deepest parts of the Amazon rainforest? This term we will be looking at both the Savannah and the Jungle. We will explore art, music and dance in these diverse regions and compare the two environments and the animals which live in them with the animals we see everyday. As part of is, we will begin to look at lifecycles and might even have some special guests to watch develop.

We loved our visit to Beale Park. From holding and exploring animals to riding the train, we had a great day!
Savannah Collages: we had to think very carefully about our colour choices when creating our images.
We looked at the artist Yao Bobby who creates peoples faces out of rubbish he finds on the beach. We created our own artwork in his style, we had to be very careful when using a hammer and nail.
We had to follow a specification to create animal carriers for travel like int he book Dear Zoo.
