Welcome to the Year 4 Home Learning Page
Hello, Year 4 parents and children. What a strange situation we find ourselves in. It is my hope that you will find this page and the information it contains useful. So here goes:
Every Monday, a timetable with a range of activities to be completed each week will be uploaded to the bottom of this page. Any online activities will not be available on the stated website until the day the activity needs to be completed. Children who were in school on Friday (20.3.20) should have a copy of all the logins that they need. If your child was not in school on Friday and is missing a login, please contact the school office.
Can I also take this opportunity to ask parents to continue reading with their children on a daily basis. Just listening to your child read and discussing what they have read will be a great help.
I would love to see what your children are doing at home so if you would like to share any of the incredible learning please use the email address below and ensure that the subject clearly states Year 4. This email can also be used if you have any queries.
I will also try to update this page with useful links, information and messages periodically so please keep checking it.
Finally a note to the Year 4's out there:
I know this is a strange time and you are probably missing your friends, school and maybe even me . The classroom will be very empty this morning without your smiling faces and excited chatter and while lessons might be different, I know you will meet this challenge head on with your usual determination and enthusiasm. We have many more exciting things to do in Year 4 this year, whether that is over a computer or hopefully when we are back together again. Just think of the wonderful stories, about your time at home, you will have to tell me, each of you will be just like Albrecht!
Dear Year 4,
Its here! The last week of term and my last update. I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I have loved teaching each of you this year. You have worked extremely hard both in school and during lockdown. I cannot wait to see you all for time with my teacher on Thursday. Remember that this week, the first half hour, of time with my teacher, will be with Mr Neighbour and then the second half hour will be back with me. Parents, if I do not catch you on Thursday I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for the support you have given me this year before and during lockdown. I have greatly appreciated it.
Have an amazing summer holiday!
