Changing Places
This term we are going to become cartographers as we develop our geography skills, exploring, surveying and mapping our local area. We will spend time looking at different types of maps, how the land around us is used and they types of settlement, as we create a book showing how special where we live is.
In art, we are going to be looking at the local artist Anna Dillon, who creates beautiful colourful landscapes of local landmarks. We are hoping to have a zoom call with her, to find out all about her creative process and inspiration as well as some 'top tips' as we work to create our own landscapes in her style.
We will continue to look at our local area in science, as we develop our scientific enquiry skills, investigating the seed dispersal of plants, light and temperature.
