We have a very exciting topic this term- we will be learning all about Pirates! We willl learn when they lived, where they lived, what they wore and what they looked like as well as learning about their ships. We will also be investigating floating and sinking, melting and about maps. In Literacy we will continue learning how to write effective sentences and will start to think about making these sentences more interesting by using describing words and language from stories. Children will continue learning phonics to support their reading and writing, at the stage appropriate to their development. In Maths we will reinforce what we have learnt about addition and subtraction as well as starting to learn about partitioning and counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
