Summer 1 - Flower Power
Can you believe that we have reached the summer term already?!
Hopefully you have all had an amazing Easter break, eaten lots of chocolate and are excited to be coming back to school. This term our topic is Flower Power. It is going to be a science filled term learning about plants, investigating what they need to grow, describing and labelling different parts of plants, and learning what the plant needs the different parts for. We will also be finding out what types of food we get from plants, and discovering what makes deciduous trees different from evergreens.
We will be growing our own plants and learning about Capability Brown and how he used plants and trees in his landscaping.
We are even fitting in a trip this term. We are visiting the other side of camp to learn about the role of the fire fighters and air traffic control in the RAF.
