Exciting Explorers
This term we will be looking at 3 very different explorers!
1. Mae Jemison- The first female black astronaut in space. We will look at her scientific discoveries whilst she was onboard the International Space Station.
2. Matthew Henson- One of the explorers to first navigate the north pole. We will look at the journey he took to get to the arctic and the history that was made on his expedition.
3. Ernest Shackleton- We will focus on his expedition to the Antarctic on board the ship Endurance. This will help us when we come to make our own boats in Design and Technology.
This term will be very busy in the lead up to Christmas. Please keep an eye on the app so you don't miss any notifications especially the date of our Christmas Nativity.
