The financial management system known as FMSiS was abandoned by the government in 2011 but the 14-odd FMSiS-compliant policies have been left in place on the Bursar's PC.
FMSiS is now to be replaced with a simpler system known as 'School Financial Value Statement' (SFVS), which will make several of the existing FMSiS policies redundant. It was agreed at the Resources Committee meeting on 9-1-12 that I would scope what needs doing to meet the SFVS, including reviewing which FMSiS files are either no longer needed or are in need of revision and re-titling.
