All about eyes
We had a special 'visitor' to our classroom - an NHS optometrist. He taught us all about the structure of the eyes, what happens to these structures when they are exposed to too much ultraviolet light and showed us that our pupils change size to protect our eyes when we are in bright light. He also showed us all of the cool equipment he uses in the hospital to do his job. He then set us a challenge to design a pair of sunglasses or a hat to protect our eyes from the sun.
