Our Great Space Adventure

This term we will be looking at the wonder of Space.

We will be visited by aliens, we will explore new planets, train to be astronauts, build space rockets and much more.

How to Catch an Alien: An alien's egg was left in our classroom and then... it HATCHED! We designed and built traps to capture the alien.

BLAST OFF: We made pop bottle rockets to launch our alien back into space. We had to work with our partner to decorate the rocket taking into account each others ideas.

Once we had designed our Pop Bottle Rockets we had to make them fly. We used a pump to fill the bottles with air and push the water out. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 watch them fly.

Astronaut Training; we had to complete fine motor skills activities but there was a twist! We had to wear gloves like astronauts when they are working on the outside of the International Space Station.

Maths: We have been learning about capacity in Maths, we had to create a special drink for the class by following the instructions and filling the cylinder the correct amount.
