  • Olympic Festival - Monday 11 July 2016

    Mon 11 Jul 2016

We hope that you are feeling as excited for Olympic Festival Sport’s Day as we are! We would like to take this opportunity to let you know a little more about how the day will run.

With the weather promising to be glorious and the events fantastic we would love to see as many parents, friends and relatives joining us as possible.

The day will start at 11:15am on the Station Field with our Olympic inspired Opening Ceremony and a dance from each year group. This will be followed by a picnic lunch for those parents wishing to stay.

At 1:00pm prompt the competitive races will start on the track as the rest of the school and the guests cheer the athletes on. During this time, the PTA will kindly be organising a "Strawberry Fayre" just for parents who are watching the events.

As always we hope to avoid last-minute cancellations of events however, if the weather does let us down and we are forced to cancel or amend Sport’s Day for health and safety reasons we will let you know as soon as possible via the school website and parent mail.

We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Charity Day Colour Run

    Fri 08 Jul 2016

Building on the success of our Charity Day last year, on Friday 8th July we are having a whole school charity morning where all staff and children in school will be taking part in two challenges to raise money for two charities, Thames Valley Air Ambulance and the RAF Benevolent Fund. The children in each Key Stage will be going head to head to see who can raise the greatest percentage towards their fundraising target.

Children will be walking/running around the Station field to different stations where they will be painting their t-shirts! School will provide white t-shirts but children should wear old trainers and trousers/shorts. We are using washable paint.

If children choose to take their t-shirt home then they will need to bring in a clearly labelled named coat hanger. Parents are invited to spectate but will be kept in an area to see all of the field and to prevent them being covered in paint. Thank you for your support with this.

    Key Stage 1 and Reception

Children and staff in Reception and Key Stage 1 will be taking part in the Colour Run Challenge to raise money for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

The charity fundraising target for KS1 including Reception is £300 (£75 per class) and this can either be raised through sponsorship forms that your child will receive or online at the link below:

    Key Stage 2

Children and staff in Key Stage 2 will be taking part in the Colour Run Challenge to raise money from the RAF Benevolent Fund.

The charity fundraising target for KS2 is £300 (£75 per class) and this can either be raised through sponsorship forms that your child will receive or online at the link below:

Thank you in advance for your support with our Charity day - we would be very grateful if you could send these links to family and friends to help the children reach their goal.
