Use the Force
This term, our topic is 'Use the Force'.
Science
In Science, we will be learning about the different types of force. This will include planning, carrying out and evaluating investigations on gravity, friction, air resistance and water resistance. We will be thinking about which variables to change and which to keep the same. We will also learn about different scientists' theories, including Isaac Newton's. Finally, we will be learning about leavers, gears and pulleys, and design our own inventions using these.
Design and Technology
In Design and Technology, we will be designing our own boats and specifying which materials to use to make these. Then, we will use junk modelling to make our boats. Finally, we will evaluate the process of designing and making these.
Geography
In Geography, we will be developing our digital mapping skills. This will involve locating different countries and identifying their human and physical features.
