Welcome to Year 4 Apache!

Welcome back, Apache! We hope you are ready for the exciting year we have planned. 

So Who is Who? 

Miss Webster is the class teacher.

We have an amazing team in Year 4 with lots of wonderful adults supporting us throughout the day. Mrs McCrindle and Mrs Minns support us in the mornings and we are joined by Mrs Henig in the afternoons.

Important Information! 

P.E.

Please bring a P.E. kit in on a Monday and it will be returned home on a Friday. Our P.E days are Monday and Wednesday.

Homework 

All homework is handed out on a Monday and is to be returned on a Thursday.
You will be given English, Maths and Spellings. Please take some time to look through the homework early enough in the week so if you are unsure about the tasks set, there is time for us to support. Please communicate any difficulties with the adults in Apache by arranging to meet with us before or after school or by writing us a note. We are more than happy to help! 

Reading 

It is really important that you try to read for at least 10 minutes per day and mark this in your home reading record, this way if you are having difficulties, we know how to help you. We read in class too so make sure reading records and books are in your bag each day, especially on your guided reading day. Your guided reading day is written on the first page of your reading record. 

Times Tables 

The new government Year 4 timetables screening test will be conducted towards the end of this academic year. Children will be tested on their times table knowledge and as such, should continue to practise these at home as well as in school.
