Our Term 2 topic is very exciting and links in with the Christmas activities we will be doing towards the end of term. Our Topic will be Celebrations, and we will look at the different celebrations that many cultures and religions have at this time of year. This will include: Bonfire Night, Diwali, Thanksgiving and Hanuka.
In English, we will look at a mixture of fiction and non-fiction, including the story or Rama and Sita. We will write our own stories and poems and will write instructions.
In Maths we will start to handle data, taking tallies and learning about bar graphs. We will learn about 2D and 3D shapes and their properties. We will estimate and measure lenght, weight and capactiy.
We also look forward to seeing you on learn with your child week. This time it is Maths- something we are often asked about by parents.
And finally. . . as always we are on the look out for parent readers. You will be welcome for one-off visits or as weekly fixtures in our timetable. See you then!
