Puma - Year 3

Teaching Puma Class is Mrs Boodell . Every morning our teaching assistants Mrs Davis and Mrs McCrindle are also in the class supporting. In the afternoon Mrs Webb and Mrs Thornton will be joining us. On Tuesday afternoons Puma Class will be taught either French, Music, PE or RE during PPA time.

 

We have PE lessons twice a week, sometimes the days these lessons take place may change, so please ensure PE kits are in school all week. During Summer term 1,  and part of Summer term 2, Puma class will be swimming on a Thursday morning so remember to bring in a named swimming costume, hat and towel on that day.

 

Spellings are given out on Mondays with tests taking place the following Monday.


Homework is also sent out on Monday and due back Thursday.

Our topic this term is...

Green Fingers

 

Puma class will be continuing the theme of water from last term and learn more about the water cycle,  discovering its importance to our world. Puma class will be learning about plants during their Science lessons this term.They will learn to identify and describe the functions of different parts of flowering plants: roots, stem/trunk, leaves and flowers.They will also explore the requirements of plants for life and growth and  investigate the way in which water is transported within plants.Finally the class will explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, including pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal.
