Autumn Term 2 - A Journey Through Time
Welcome back, Year 4!
We hope you've had a great half term and are looking forward to more fun and hard work in Autumn Term 2.
Please make sure that you bring your Reading Record to school each day and that you write in your Reading Record each time you read at home. Lots of us enjoy reading before bedtime, which is great! We will also be recording each time you read in school.
Our topic this term is A Journey Through Time!
We will travelling together through History and learning all about ancient civilisations, putting them on the map and working to improve our map skills and working with timelines.
A special focus will be The Egyptians. We will learn all about famous Kings and Gods and will be considering the impact of Egyptian design, which will include the pyramids and some work with Hieroglyphs. Early music will also be a part of this topic.
In English we will be looking at The Egyptian Cinderella and comparing it with a modern version, with a focus on the setting of the different versions of the story.
