This term our topic has a history focus and our learning will be based around the Battle of Britain. We will be placing key dates in chronological order to help us understand the importance of the events that took place and try to understand the reasons behind WWII. Within this topic, we will look at key figures during this time and their role in the war.
In science we will be focusing on electricity, children will be building on their knowledge learnt in year 4 and we will be working scientifically to identify key components of circuits and create our own - using our resilience and critical thinking to ensure our circuits work correctly.
Our art lessons will be based around the Battle of Britain and we will be using our sketching skills to draw landscapes from different stages of the war. Children will have the opportunity to reflect on the differences during this era and show off their sketching techniques.
