We have a very exciting term ahead! Science, Design and Technology, Geography and English are going to link to fire our imaginations to create a wonderfully whacky town, to be exhibited to parents and guardians, and shared online, at the end of term.

In English, we will take our inspiration from the text, ‘A World of Your Own’ by Laura Carlin, to design a house around everything we love the most and hopefully, some environmental ideas linking to our previous learning this year.

Our scientific exploration of materials, their properties and features will help us select the best materials to build with. In Design & Technology, we will develop our skills in designing, communicating, building and evaluating a project to build our imaginary town from junk modelling.

For additional ideas, we will look to amazing and iconic buildings from around the World. In locating them, we will learn the countries of the United Kingdom, the seven continents and five oceans.

Alongside that, we have World Book Day and Science week this term, with fun-packed activities to immerse ourselves in! More details to follow.

The children loved Forest School last term and this will continue in Spring 2, but on Thursdays this term.

Drawing Club will also continue, on Tuesdays. Please complete the sign-up form if you would like your child to attend.
