Feb 18th - Home Learning

Hello all,

What a blustery day! It reminds me of the Winne the Pooh story - if you haven't heard it look on YouTube and watch it....it's great!

For those of you who cannot access Google Classroom, here are the activities I would like you to complete today for your home learning.

ENGLISH - Today for English I would like you to write a story about the picture I have attached. Think about your punctuation, adjectives and adverbs. Remember a story should have a beginning, middle and an end, and needs to include action as well as description. Don't forget to keep your handwriting neat!
I can't wait to read your stories.

MATHS - Today in maths I would like you to recap your knowledge about number and the vocabulary we have learnt. You are going to become detectives!! Read the clues on the sheet to find the mystery number, and then have a go at creating your own set of clues using our maths vocabulary.
Have fun!

TOPIC - So....change of plan about what topic we are doing next term. Instead of Fire of London, we are going to be doing....(drum roll please.).....INCREDIBLE INVENTIONS!!!  (We will do Fire of London the term after!)
Your topic task is to create a topic cover page for your books. Think about what different inventions you could draw or what inventors you know. It must include the title: Incredible Inventions, and Term 4.
Remember our presentation expectations when we do posters - border, bubble writing, neat drawing and beautiful colouring.
I am looking forward to seeing them.

Stay safe everyone!

Miss Galvin
