This term year ones will be transforming into daring detectives. The children will be involved in solving puzzles and clues in all subjects.
In English this term, we will be learning to;
Working hard on our key skills like:
§ Phonics
§ Handwriting
§ Reading
Learning how authors give us clues.
Have a go at writing a mystery story.
Use our great reading skills to find out about countries around the world.
In Maths this term, we will be learning to;
· Add and takeaway 10
· Solve problems involving counting, adding, subtracting, doubling or halving.
· Describe ways of solving puzzles and problems, explaining choices and decisions.
· Compare and order numbers, using the related vocabulary; use the equals (=) sign
