Hello parents and children,

This half term in Puma Class, we are excited to begin our new topic, ‘Northern Lights’. The children will explore the theme of light across many subjects—from reading and writing inspired by picture books and poems, to investigating light, shadows and reflection in science.

In geography, we will deepen our map skills as we learn about the UK before comparing it with Iceland and discovering the wonders of the Northern Lights.

Our learning will also include fractions in maths, lantern‑making in design and technology, and coding in computing. As always, we look forward to a busy and creative term filled with curiosity, hands‑on learning and new skills.
