Class Teacher - Maternity Cover KS2

 

Start Date:  September 2025

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 

Contract Type: Fixed term due to maternity contract until May 2026

Salary: MPS 1 - 6

RAF Benson Community Primary School is predominantly a one-form entry school nestled within the heart of RAF Benson. We have a fabulous community who work with us to help us support our children and we really feel in the heart of such a special and unique community. We are committed to providing a high-quality education in a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment for our children.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher to join our team for a maternity cover position. The successful candidate will work across the school, contributing to a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.

  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.

  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and the leadership team.

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community.

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Is passionate about teaching and has experience working in primary education.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Is adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Has a commitment to the welfare and development of all pupils.
